In November 2014 we published a booklet describing the Dighty Heritage Trail. It covers industrial, social and cultural history; identifies historic sites and buildings; and incorporates snippets of people's lives particularly during the time of the textile mills and bleachfields. More details will gradually be added to this website to supplement information on features highlighted in the booklet.  Links will be added below to each of these new pages.

We are very grateful to Archaeology Scotland for providing us with maps of the Dighty Burn from 1860 and 1900 which are overlaid with current maps, showing how the area has changed over the years.  Click on the image opposite to see all maps.
