Created by Irene with much support from a small group of dedicated volunteers, this puppet family have been performing their story and inviting children to help them create a wedding celebration for the ‘hand fasting’ of Marvid and Evana - by making a wedding bower/shelter; using leaves and flowers to mark materials for a wedding dress and using sound and instruments to compose a wedding song.
As well as visiting local primary schools, the piece was also performed on Jubilee day at Douglas Community Centre - families attending the celebrations were led on a walk along the Dighty and ‘stumbled’ upon the performance.
