Our weekly conservation group meet each week and have carried out a tremendous amount of work, with some volunteers also working on projects in their own time.
Projects range from planting wildflowers to litter picking; from foraging to water surveying. The group meets every Tuesday at 9.30am for general conservation and Wednesday at 10am for biological recording.
The volunteers are currently creating a new pond close to West Pitkerro Industrial Estate, which will be planted with wildflowers and will create an important amphibian habitat.
New members are always welcome and no experience is necessary. Refreshments are provided and travel expenses can be reimbursed for those on a low income.
